Silhoutte in the doorway

It is dusk, and you are alone at home. Suddenly, you notice a silhoutte approaching through the doorway.

What would be your reaction?

Will you panic, thinking about all the threats the silhoutte could be? Or will you be relieved, taking the silhoutte to be your dear one's home coming.

Our reaction to the silhoutte depends more or less on our mood at that moment. The situation we are in, our thoughts, and our background all have a direct bearing on our reaction.

What then, does silhoutte in the doorway signify?

Silhoutte in the doorway is a crystallisation of our worst fears and best hopes alike. The silhoutte is a mirror that shows us our inner selves. The silhoutte thus, forces us into introspection. It can reveal our worst fears, and at times our great expectations. The meaning of the silhoutte in the doorway in this context is wide and open to different interpretations. Depending on the situation, including time of the day, one may express fear or happiness towards the same silhoutte. Two different people seeing the same silhoutte may react differently. This initial reaction is vital, as in most cases, it guides further action directed towards satiation of desire or quelling of fear.

Then again, the initial response to the silhoutte may be proven unfounded once we approach the form. Truth behind the silhoutte will be revealed once we get near. The silhoutte may be entirely different from what we percieved. Here, the worst fears may transform into the good news and vice versa. Our perception regarding the silhoutte, thus has no bearing on its real nature. Our expectations may be proved in vain and our fears unfounded.

The only way out of the uncertainty regarding the silhoutte is to approach it.

Join me as I venture into the doorway to confront the silhoutte.
